HOW WE DEFINE A ‘MAINSTREAM’ ARTIST

We defined ‘Mainstream’ as artists who are signed to a major record label, including international distribution. And, on top of that, most of these ‘mainstream’ artists created music in the past for mainstream Bollywood movies, or worked on similar musical endeavors. Most of the artists on this list have a strong fan following worldwide, enjoy radio plays & show off a large social media following as well.

7- RDB, T-PAIN – Daddy Da Cash

The Multi Award winners and Bollywood songs hit makers are now back with their brand new song under their own record label 3 Records “Daddy Da Cash”. They have been doing a good job in Bollywood industry lately they did a song in the movie Bullett Raja Featuring Raftaar in that track Tamanche Pe Disco. Bullett Raja released on 29th of November and the movie got a huge response from that song too. RDB had done many songs with Akshay Kumar in his movies Singh Is King and many more where RDB collaborated with International rapper Snoop Dogg.

4- J HIND, SHAXE, DJ SURRINDER, DEEP JANDU- Nishana

J Hind‘s latest collaborative work with Shaxe, DJ Surinder and Deep Jandu is one for listeners of all Desi Music. The song itself represents a dope Punjabi style, which got merged with a tight beat, and they topped it off with some intense rap verses that pulled it all together to make it a hit single.

Imran Khan, popular Urban Punjabi artist, is best known for is 2009 hit, “Amplifier”, which propelled him to fame capturing audiences acrossthe globe. His latest single, and the only video of 2013, produced by Eren E, “Satisfya” – has all the elements you’d expect from Khan: a cheetah (yeah, a cheetah), a lambo, some girls, fire and of course the proverbial smoke-coming-out-of-mouth-in-slow-motion scene.
