TaZzZ: “Feed your soul with positivity & do music for the right reasons”

,

TaZzZ has been extremely busy lately. With the recent BritAsia TV Awards performances, and nominations, he’s been at it in full force. Apart from that, he’s also been working with new artists, and producing music non-stop. Yes, seriously, non-stop. Whenever I talk to him or get updates on his activity, this super producer is working on something new & creative. That’s the kind of dedication it takes to make it in the music business, and TaZzZ clearly knows that very well!

We recently got a chance to catch the producer and ask him a few questions. Here’s how it went…

DHH: First off congrats on 3 nominations on the Brit Asia Music Awards! How does it feel to be nominated? What do these nominations mean to your career personally?

TaZzZ: Thank you, unfortunately I didn’t win any this year but nevertheless I’m very proud to be nominated in 3 different categories & to be acknowledged. I would like to congratulate all the winners who have worked equally as hard as me. The recognition is the main thing for an artist & to know that my music is being appreciated & is being heard by the masses is very humbling & I take pride in that. Awards are a validation of your work, its like the icing on the cake & Insha Allah one day I will get to embrace the feeling of winning one, however ill always continue making good music.

Music Videos, Songs, Singles – Listen/Watch everything TaZzZ has released lately!

DHH: Tell us a little bit about your childhood. What/who inspired you to be a musician?

TaZzZ: I grew up in a household surrounded by music; my parents would listen to a lot of folk/traditional & Bollywood music. There would always be a Bollywood movie on in our living room, or the radio playing, so I just caught the “Music Bug” I’ve always been fascinated about how a song was made from scratch. In school & college I started learning music technology & the studio became my home ever since, there was nothing else I was interested in, I would always have headphones plugged in my ears before I go to sleep or whether I was walking to the corner shop or whatever I was doing, I would listen to all types of music & I fell in love with sounds, percussion, instruments etc., These were my toys & I loved experimenting with them. As a musician many things inspired me, life itself was an inspiration; my family has always been my rock. Legends such as Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan saab, A R Rahman, Dr Dre, Timbaland, Nas, Gurdas Maan & many more have all played a big part in my music in some way or another, their great music has educated me & will always continue to do so.

“The proudest moment for me was when I got my own music studio built… there would be moments where I just sit in my chair and just stare at my studio for hours & hours and I’ll have the biggest smile on my face. I worked ever so hard to make this dream come true!” – TaZzZ

DHH: In your opinion, what was the proudest moment of your music career thus far?

TaZzZ: Every day I make music is a proud moment for me, I’m blessed & fortunate to do music full-time, its such an amazing feeling to pursue a career doing something you love the most, I’ve had many proud moments & I hope to gain more but for me the proudest moment for me was when I got my own music studio built, I will never forget that moment simply because I feel & live with it everyday, there would be moments where I just sit in my chair and just stare at my studio for hours & hours and I’ll have the biggest smile on my face. I worked ever so hard to make this dream come true; I’m counting my blessings.

DHH: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

TaZzZ: I just take each day as it comes really, I leave the rest in God’s hands & I fully trust him & his judgment and let him lead the way on my journey, I’m just happy to have accomplished so much in very little time & hope to continue to do so. I’d like to see myself in Bollywood one day, not as an actor of course (haha) but maybe doing the background score for a movie or being a music director, it’ll be a great experience.

DHH: What advice would you give to the new generation of musicians, artists, rappers & producers out there who dream of expressing themselves musically?

TaZzZ: If you have a dream chase it, anything is possible, you just have to believe in yourself. Patience is an important key in this line of work; one may come across hardships along the way but that’s part of the process, its not supposed to be easy but never give up. As long as you love what you do then the outcome and goals are endless. Feed your soul with positivity & do music for the right reasons & that’s when you will be happy with yourself.
