Bred in Jersey and based out of New York City, RajStar has developed his unparalleled talents as Producer, DJ, Composer, and Sound Engineer. His vision for most of his own work is based on a lifetime of eclectic musical influence as his Father is a percussionist and his Mother is a singer. RajStar came up as a staff sound engineer at one of the world’s most well known commercial recording studios, Quad Studios, NYC. RajStar has had the opportunity to work withsome of the biggest names in music, including Busta Rhymes, Music Soulchild, EddieGomez, Missy Elliott, Nona Hendryx, Bilal, Fabolous, Pandit Jasraj, Tripti Mukherjee, aswell as some of the most respected major labels including Def Jam, Universal, and Atlantic Records. He has helped pack out some of the hottest venues in NYC, including SOB’s, Le Poisson Rouge, and the Vault and has worked extensively with NYC icon DJ Rekha.

After winning top three in the Doritos “Crash the Superbowl” contest, “Be Easy (Koi Naa)” (Produced by RajStar & Bobby Konders) was released on Interscope Records. He then competed against almost 2000 Producers worldwide in the Official John Legend Remix Contest, hosted by Indaba Music and won first-place in both the “Judge’s Selection” and “Popular Vote”categories. “If You’re Out There (RajStar Remix)” was subsequently released by John Legend himself. RajStar has also produced remixes for Jaheim (released on Atlantic Records),Major Lazer & Vybz Kartel, and more. In 2011 he released the concept mashup album, Rahman Noodles, to critical acclaim. The album was featured on many sites including Earmilk, Fader, Hype-M, and many more. Also in 2011, he was accepted into and attended The Hang, a two-week mixing intensive held by the legendary Jimmy Douglass (Led Zeppelin, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, many more).
