British Urban trio Offlicence are set to break the ranks with their new track titled Style. Joining forces with British grime star Trilla Jermaine Trilloski (0121, Etap, G-Star) and the prolific MOBO and MTV award winning DJ and producer Panjabi MC.
Style is proceeding to have all the right ingredients to satisfy listeners across multiple genres. With its catchy lyrics and punchy chorus, the track overrides any language barrier. Similar to the huge impact PSY has had for K-pop with Gangnam Style, many consider Panjabi MC responsible for taking Bhangra music across the globe with the phenomenal single Mundian To Bach Ke featuring US star Jay-Z (Beware of the Boys).
Sunny J from Offlicence shares:
‘The song is about expressing yourself through what you do best. Whether that’s sports, partying or how you dress, it’s whatever you enjoy or do. Style is limitless and has no boundaries’
Style is a song that blends elements of hip-hop and dance, brought seamlessly together by bass driven beats and the iconic Tumbi sound of Panjabi MC that has party anthem written all over it.
The music video for Style, directed by Carly Cussen (Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran) is packed full of attitude and showcases Martial Arts by the Shaolin Temple Academy, highlighting the 1,500 styles of Kung-fu, alongside street magicians, custom cars, and freestyle dancers.
Style by Offlicence feat Trilla produced by Panjabi MC – is out soon (dates to be announced) and will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and all other major online music stores. Check out the promo video below and let us know what you think:
