You know it is going to be mayhem when you have forces such as Sikander Kahlon, Divine, Gangis Khan and Deep Jandu get on a track together titled ‘Mitra Da Swag’. Gangis Khan and Deep Jandu just did the GAMETIME cypher with Bohemia and affiliated posse and it has already gone viral. Could this be a strategic move to direct attention from Bohemia and his crew towards Sikander Kahlon, the newest signed artist to Manj Musik, well we leave that for you to decide.
Mitra Da Swag is basically humble boasting of all the accolades and accomplishments which the artists have accumulated in their individual journeys. Deep Jandu is on the hook and like in every other track of his even this one is a cracker. Divine opens up the track and grabs attention from the very first word, he makes sure to represent GULLY GANG to the fullest and his verse is an ode to his grind. Divine’s work speaks for itself and his last release, “Jungli Sher” is still hot in the underground. The video of Mitra Da Swag also has Gangis Khan, who went through this verse like an untamed beast. The Scarborough native has definitely made it evident why he has such a huge following. “I take my selfie once, you take my picture twice“. It is great to see some one who has tremendous experience reaching out to work with relatively new artists such as Divine and Sikander Kahlon. Sikander Kahlon is currently one of the most dominant Punjabi emcees if not the most dominant in the scene right now. 2016 has probably been the best year he has had, and getting signed to Manj Musik is a very big reason behind it. Mind you, getting signed to Manj Musik requires a lot of dedication, perseverance and hard work. Sikander Kahlon goes in supremely ham and he makes himself look incontestable. He summarizes the track perfectly but not before taking shots at those who were doubtful about his grind.
The video shows Sikander, Divine, Gangis and Deep chilling out and having a party during a bootleg recording session for this track itself and the emotions caught look authentic and are very pleasing to look at. KKG members Rob C and Sady Immortal having a great time during this session. 2016 is shaping up to be a big year for the DesiHipHop culture
