After a busy year quietly working hard on recording and performing, King Roti is back at it again! In 2011 Roti’s growing fan base in the south asian music scene and in europe helped build on the success of his singles “Don’t Cry” featuring Bishop Brigante (Much Music / Much More Music) and “Ek Sapna” (BBC Radio 1). While recording his upcoming free album project “Half Way Home” which will release for free online this April, Roti has had the opportunity to work with artists like; Kim Davis, JB The Hustler, D Pryde, Bishop Brigante, Knocturnal and Richie Sosa among some other special guests, and promises to be something special for his fans and growing audience.
“Long Gone” is the latest official video single off “Half Way Home” and is a new sound for the Toronto recording artist. The insanely catchy hook and dub step / hip hop fusion on the production are captivating. The desi remix featuring New York / Punjabi singer Manificent has already hit radio on BBC Radio 1 in the UK on the Bobby Friction and DJ Nihal show’s respectively, who are world renowned taste makers in the south asian / Desi music industry. The video was shot and directed by N5P Productions and is definitely Roti’s best video yet!
