Jay Sean is out with a brand new mixtape. Yeah, mixtape. Just for his fans, because he felt like his fans deserved “Mistress II” from him. He recently left Birdman’s Cash Money Records which is home to artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. He explains in the video below that Cash Money records was a major label, but major labels haven’t been filling his need as well as he’d like. He goes on to say that it was very difficult for him to express himself the way he liked, and he always had trouble with release dates and push-backs for releases issued by the major label. Check out the video below to get an insight on how Jay Sean felt.
Screw Major Labels. Stay Independent.
At DesiHipHop.com, we know all the problems of joining a major label. Our staff represents artists who have gone independent because of the hassle that major labels bring. And, just because we understand those problems, we decided to open the flood gates and allow all the talented artists in the ‘Desi world’ to promote themselves through us. Through our distribution deals, and deals with major media channels, we allow artists to not only express themselves completely but we also provide them the opportunity to spread their music to more than 600 online retailers. We know the pain that artists go through, and since day 1, our goal has been to ease the pain and help artists get the promotions they deserve. This is why we’re here, we’re here for the artists and their fans. And, we’re here to promote a global Unity that can only be achieved through Hip Hop.
So, stop chasing down record label executives just to get a shitty record deal. Take your career into your own hands, and hit us up!
