IT’S TIME to get desiFIED with Desifest !!

Music fans Canada’s biggest South Asian festival is back : desiFEST, presented by TD, is back on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Kick off your summer with thousands celebrating SouthAsian arts and culture. desiFEST, now in its seventh year, features 12 hours of non-stop musical and dance performances in the heart of downtown Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square (YDS).

desiFEST provides artists a platform to showcase their talent and gives audiences of all ages the opportunity to enjoy South Asian music, arts and culture. desiFEST has hosted more than 150 artists, including recording artists Apache Indian, JoSH, Taz & Stereo Nation, The Bilz and Kashif, Parichay, Shweta, Anita Lerche and many more.

The YDS celebrations will also include South Asian delicacies from the food market, artisans in the merchant market and other family-friendly activities. TD will also have an on-site presence including the popular Kids’ Zone with a TD Monster Mural and bouncy castle to entertain all ages.

This year’s line-up will showcase a mix of new artists and veterans who have had local and international success over the years.

Hip Hop has been growing in the desi scene for quite some time and this year desiFEST with the help of will be showcasing some of Canada’s finest Desihiphop artists.
