We have been trying to figure out what is happening with Raftaar as he has been dropping some random information about being struck by cupids arrow. It all finally fell into place when we came across Instagram Love.
An up tempo track with a very clear meaning and a flashy video. Raftaar manages to pull off yet another successful release and like all other releases this also went viral having more than 6 Lakh views and still counting. Raftaar has time and again shown that the masses will like the real taste of hip hop without having to dumb it down for the “Janta” as done by Yo Yo Honey Singh, this track also has a very prevalent mainstream feeling to it but it does not dilute the hip-hop element to it. His flow is impeccable as always and catchy lyricism makes it the tune for the summer. This is for the first time I came across Kappie and I will be on the lookout for more of his work in the time to come.
The track seems to be made for the promotion of Vodafone’s # FunWithU campaign and that is how Raftaar kills 2 birds with one stone. I am unaware if Raftaar does this unintentionally or is it planned but somehow he manages to stay relevant via tie-ups for advertising reasons or through timely releases of new music. His album “Zero to Infinity” is also under works and we will be waiting to get our hands on it, till then check out “Instagram Love“.
