Humble the Poet has been working on this Debut album for quite some time now. After a rigorous crowd funding campaign that helped rile up the audience, he delivered and, boy, did he deliver right! His initial crowd funding campaign was conducted on Indiegogo and it was a brainchild to help fund his FEATHERS and unLearn albums, as well as unLearn – the book. UnLearn, the album, is coming out in 2014 and is believed to top FEATHERS. Together with this album, he also released his first music video off of the album, which you can watch right here.

I’ve had the opportunity to listen to the album well before it was released. (Yes, such are the perks of being part of DesiHipHop.com!) The album blew my mind! It has a better, badder, more lyrically awesome Humble than any of his previous work. Through every track you get an inside track into Humble’s mind and hard work. He sounds like a man on a mission who has been working non-stop ever since he decided to release two albums and beef up his music career. Songs like “Polished Bullsh*t”, “Lasso”, “Casanova”, and “Beauty With a Black Eye” are must-listens. On top of that, almost all of the songs keep you bobbin’ your head to constant ill-matic poetry.
