Girls Run The World – Dancehall/Reggae Flava hits Mumbai!

Urbanista feat. D-Fresh, Ninja and Reggae Rajahs at PUMA Faas Jamaican Carnival,Mumbai India.

A slice of Jamaica hit Mumbai at PUMA’s colorful launch of the Faas Shoe line, at Inorbit Mall featuring Reggae Rajahs (India’s 1st Reggae Sound System) at the decks and a high energy Dance Performance by Urbanista featuring D-fresh and Ninja.

DJ MoCity, Diggy Dang and Mr.Herbalist from Reggae Rajahs as always kept the energy up with their wide selection of Jamaican music from roots reggae to some classic dancehall , Dropping several dubplates from Mandeep Sethi‘s Welcome to New Delhi to Dancehall Vibes by Mr.Williamz , keeping the crowd entertained.

The Girls from Urbanista( India’s first All Girl Street Dance Group created by Priya Lisa Gonsalves) proved that they could dip low with their Dancehall routines also featuring special appearances from D-fresh ( Brothers Spex) and B-Boy Ninja (Roc fresh Crew) wearing Brand new PUMA kicks which are a favourite of the dancers!

A crazy fun and successful event, resulting in a shout out and video post of the performance, to Reggae Rajahs and Urbanista via Twitter by Major Lazer the massively known producers of the hit track Pon de Floor (more famously recognized by Beyonce’s commercial smasher Run The World) which was the track that the girls danced to at the event.

Interesting to see the versatility of music genres and talent springing up in the motherland! Here is the video of the event uploaded by djmocity tweeted by Major lazer & Diplo founder of MAD Decent , Thanks to DJ MoCity and his twitter skills the video has gone viral and crossed over a 1000 hits in less then 24 hours.
