Machas With Attitude, or in short – MWA, made their Bollywood debut a while ago. And now, after numerous hit singles, countless fans, and a lot of hard work, they are featured in the upcoming ShahrukhKhan movie, Chennai Express. We had a chance to talk to Smokey from MWA about their experiences, music, lifestyle and pretty much everything!

Chennai Express is set to release this Eid, on August 8th, 2013.

“The journey for MWA has been beautiful. We met so many different people. But, life has a way of twisting our arms as well, through the bad times. We’ve seen those troubles but we came out of it. That’s what’s important.”

Smokey the Ghost is quite the character. His attitude about music, and specially about Hip Hop, is refreshing. He says, “Keep doing what you’re doing, never stop. Do what you want to do – be a doctor, engineer, rapper. Or be all three!” He also discusses their unique experiences working with some of the best in Bollywood. “We definitely loved working with [Vishal & Shekhar], the kind of comfort they give you in terms of creative freedom is amazing,” he mentioned about working with Bollywood super producers Vishal & Shekhar. Must be quite the experience being in the same studio with the duo who worked with Akon for Chammak Chalo!
