The BBC Asian Network is a good source of Desi Music for fans worldwide, but we rarely get an episode full of Desi Hip Hop music. Well, those days are finally over! In a recent episode of the BBC Asian Network’s show with Alpa Pandya, Desi Hip Hop artist Gujubhai got the opportunity to host the show. Since he’s such a huge fan of Hip Hop, and he’s a major Hip Hop influencer & artist, he decided to play a bunch of Desi Hip Hop music. And we think that’s awesome! The episode was aired during the Republic Day of India, and featured numerous Gujarati songs, and interviews with Gujarati artists. Haji Springer was one of the artists interviewed, as well as a couple of others. Gujubhai went on to explain his experiences as a Desi Hip Hop artist, as well as his life experiences in the United States. It’s an interesting episode giving us a direct sneak peak into the lives of these talented artists.
