Basement Bhangra – DJ Anjali & The Kid – Bollywood Disco

Winter has mostly subsided and now it’s time to get your dance on. I am excited to have old friends DJ Anjali and the Incredible Kid as guests at Basement Bhangra May 1st. Don’t miss this friendly clash of East and West coast Bhangra crews at what Time Out New York dubs the Best Music Venue – Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker St).

They will be opening up the night with a tag team set of eclectic desi beats from all over the globe for the Basement Happy Hour. Then they will each spin alongside myself in the main space.

DJ Anjali is sonically notorious for playing extended giddha tracks while The Kid’s extensive Bhangra selection will make die hard music fans break into spontaneous dance team formations.
We are also excited to have Milian of Anja Dance doing the Basement Bhangra dance lesson.
