Rapper Baba Sehgal is no newbie to acting, beginning his acting stunt in 1998 with a movie called Miss 420, to his Tollywood highlight in the movie Rudramadevi, Sehgal is now playing a negative role in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada that translates into Fear is Foolishness with actors Silambarasan and Manjima Mohan in lead roles. The movie is also being simultaneous shot in Telugu with music by A.R. Rahman. Sehgal, who has being one of the first pioneer Indian rappers who began his career in the 1990s, is known for his character roles and plays a bad cop in this movie. While working with Gautham’s banner on a song for the film Courier Boy Kalyan, Baba Sehgal had apparently joked about playing a role in Gautham’s next film and although the director said nothing at the time, called Sehgal six months later and said he had a significant role him in his next venture. Sehgal has often said in interviews how he is comfortable playing into the South film enthusiasts’ sensibilities. His rapport with Gautham is another high; the freedom to portray the character the way he really feels it, is what makes working with Gautham a great experience for Sehgal. The rapper definitely has an edge for roles that require him to play a baddie, what with the sporty bald look. Baba Sehgal has made it very clear that he wants to woo Suriya, Vijay and Rajnikanth with this role so he can bag roles in their movies too Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada is touted to be a romantic tale woven into an action entertainer and is slated to release on July 15, 2016.
