Tippa Irie, one of the UK's most talented and experienced reggae/ dancehall MCs will be playing 4 showsin India for the very first time alongside the Reggae Rajahs in November, here are the tour dates :
Thu 7th Nov : Raasta, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi
Fri 8th Nov: The Humming Tree, Indiranagar, Bangalore
Sat 9th Nov: H20, Bandra, Mumbai
Sun 10th Nov: High Spirits, Koregaon Park, Pune
All shows begin at 9pm, Free Entry.

About Tippa Irie
Anthony Henry - a.k.a. "Tippa Irie" - emerged from England's Saxon Sound International - the star-studded travelling sound system that has been at the forefront of the U.K. reggae dancehall scene for the past 25 years and helped launch the careers of artists such as Maxi Priest, Papa Levi and Smiley Culture.
Tippa Irie was part of the new generation of British MC's who developed the'Fast Talking' style chat which today can be heard in modern day rappers like Busta Rhymes.
Tippa Irie has produced fifteen albums to date and has a string of number 1 hit songs to his credit including "Hey Mama" with the Black Eyed Peas, "Hello Darling", "Raggamuffin Girl" (featuring Peter Hunnigale), and "Shouting for the Gunners"--a song originally recorded for the Arsenal Football Team which reached the Top 30 status on the British pop charts.
Most recently Tippa was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rap Song category for his collaboration with Black Eyed Pea's Will-I-Am on "Hey Mama", a track featured on the international chartbusting 'Elephunk'(2004) CD on A&M/Interscope Records and also on the Black Eyed Peas LP 'Monkey Business' (2005) on the track Dum Diddley.Tippa latest cd is Stick to my roots with the Far East Band from Germany is his best album to date in his opinion and also journalist John Masouri, released in June 2011 the cd got rave reviews and did really well all over the world especially in Europe recently Tippa as been touring in Serbia, Russia, Thailand,and he is going out again in2013 to explore North America. Tippa now has is own record label Lockdown Productions.
About Reggae Rajahs
Reggae Rajahs are India's first reggae sound system. Known for their energetic live performances, they are reggae entertainers and promoters based out of New Delhi.
Formed in 2009, Reggae Rajahs have dedicated themselves to spreading the sounds of reggae music across India. They frequently perform at clubs and live venues all over the country and have also performed at many festivals including Sunburn Festival (Goa), SulaFest (Nashik) and Ragasthan (Jaisalmer). They host their own stage at the NH7 Weekender Festival called the ‘Dubstation’ which has introduced thousands of people to dub based sounds over the last two years.
The last year saw Reggae Rajahs make their second appearance on the European circuit, playing club shows in cities such as Prague, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam and performing at major festivals including Uprising (Slovakia) Outlook (Croatia), Rototom (Spain) and Sziget (Hungary)
