Top 10 Rappers With The Most Number One Billboard Hot 100 Singles

Smashing hits are the only things keeping an artist alive but only a few rappers managed to reinvent themselves and surprise the public with more than just one Billboard Hot 100 Singles. Surprisingly enough, Drake isn’t one of them!

Dominating the charts for your gender is one thing but dominating the chart that focuses on the best that music has to offer is definitely something else. Below we managed to gather the rappers that broke the Billboard Hot 100 Singles at least two times in their career.

1. Eminem  (4 Hits)

`Lose yourself` (2002/2003)

`Crack a Bottle` Ft Dr. Dre 50 Cent  (2009)

`Not Afraid` (2010)

`Love the way you lie` Ft Rihanna (2010)

After years of trashing Pop icons, Eminem managed to top them four times. You got it, the man is the most charted rapper that the game has to offer and by the look of it he doesn’t plan on stopping anywhere soon.

2. Nelly (3 Hits)

amfAR & Pokerstars Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament - Behind The Scenes

`Hot in Herre` (2002)

`Shake Ya Tailfeather` Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee (2003)

`Grillz` Ft. Paul wall ali & Grip (2006)

This is a big surprise, isn’t it? Nelly is actually a chart-breaking rapper when he’s not too busy acting or starting in his own reality show. Maybe he should drop another album! Or should he?

3. 50 cent (3 Hits)

Annual Charity Day Hosted By Cantor Fitzgerald And BGC - Cantor Fitzgerald Office - Arrivals

`In da Club` – (2003)

`21 Questions` Ft Nate Dogg (2003)

`Candy Shop` ft Olivia (2005)

Not really a big surprise judging by the impact “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” had in the early 2000. 50 Cent only managed to break the charts one time after his smashing debut album.

4. Diddy (2 Hits)

`I`ll be missing you` Ft.Faith Evans & 112 (1997)

`Shake Ya Tailfeather` Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee (2003)

Diddy figured out the formula to land number one twice in Billboard with “I’ll be missing you” and “Shake Ya Tailfeather”. Well, to be honest he shares the second single with Nelly and Murphy Lee but Diddy is also the producer of the song so he gets extra points for that.

5. Notorious B.I.G (2 Hits)

`Hypnotize` (1997)

`Mo Money Mo Problems ` Ft. Puff Daddy and Ma$e (1997)

Notorious B.I.G. couldn’t miss out from the list. Biggy was one one the most loved rappers of all time and his style managed to blend singing with rapping.

6. Will Smith (2 Hits)

`Getting` Jiggy Wit It` (1997)

`Wild Wild West` (1999)

Another surprise addition to our top. Will Smith is actually a decent rapper and he managed to reach Billboard twice in his career. Everyone should keep an eye on Will as he’s in the process of recording a new album!

7. 2Pac (2 Hits)

`How Do You Want It` (1996)

`California love` (1996)

Another rapper that proudly represents the gender in Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles. 2Pac’s “California Love” is still in rotation.

8. Kanye West (2 Hits)

`Gold Digger` Ft. Jamie Fox Gold (2005)

`Stronger` (2007)

Kanye makes a strong presence for the Hip Hop culture as well. “Gold Digger” and “Stronger” came through number one on Billboard and Yeezy also makes a presence in our top 10.

9. Outkast (2 Hits)

`Ms. Jackson` (2001)

`The Way you Move` Ft Sleeepy Brown (2003)

Outkast not only has the best selling Hip Hop album of all times but they also broke the charts two times with “Ms. Jackson” (of course!) and “They Way You Move”. Hopefully they’ll get together again and record a new album.

10. Ludacris (2 Hits)

`Stand Up` Ft Shawnna (2003)

‘Money Maker’ Ft Pharrell  (2006)

Luda also has two smashing hits with “Stand Up” and “Money Maker”. In the last few years the man kept quiet when it comes to music but rumors say he’s planning a big comeback. We’ll see if he manages to break the charts again.
