Guys get ready because the month of March is going to be on fire. SPIT is coming along with Divine and Raja Kumari who will perform at antiSOCIAL on the 23rd of March 2017. This will be SPIT’s 2nd edition and I am sure that it will be as awesome as the first one. The first one being one with “Divine (Gully Gang) and Voctronica”



Well, DIVINE is a decorated rapper and hip-hop artist from the city of Mumbai, India. Born and brought up in the streets of Mumbai, he is to be known as ‘he Voice of the Streets’. He narrates tales of the people that he’s grown up with and observing them since childhood and also paying homage to the uniqueness of the city that is Mumbai.

DIVINE, real name Vivian Fernandez, came into the spotlight when his release ‘Yeh Mera Bombay’. It went viral on the internet and the industry. It won an award in 2013 and he thereafter received a lot of exposure on local radio stations across the country. Not just that, he was also on international platforms such at Beats1 Worldwide and the BBC Asian Network.

His summer-smash ‘Mere Gully Mein’ released in 2015 was honoured by Rolling Stone India as the BEST VIDEO OF 2015. It also established DIVINE as one of the brilliant hip-hop artists in India and garnered him an international audience. He was titled ‘BEST NEW ARTIST 2015′ by iTunes and Apple Music in India and also as one of the top ‘ARTISTS TO WATCH-OUT FOR’ in 2016 by the BBC Asian Network. This further escalated and promoted DIVINE as one of the rappers to look out for in the underground scene.

Raja Kumari in the Tamil language means “The daughter of the king”. She is an American songwriter, rapper and recording artist of Indian origin. Raja Kumari is best known for her collaboration with brilliant artists which include Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea, Fifth Harmony, Knife Party, and Fall Out Boys. She also received an award at BMI Pop Awards in 2016 as a songwriter and also being nominated in 2015 for a Grammy award. She released her debut single in 2016 titled ‘Mute’ which features Elvis Brown.

Kumari has two elder siblings who pursue a career in medical field and law respectively, so it was little tough to make her parents get to be okay with her pursuing the music industry but nonetheless she succeeded in the end and the rest is history.
