Sun-J is a part of the Khatarnaak Hip-Hop collective and has already cemented his place in the Desi Hip-Hop scene with ‘Bhaad Mein Jao’. His recent drop ‘Seedhe Slum Se‘ represents his background poetically while staying true to the Hip-Hop art form.
The beat made by Sun-J himself has that old school soulful vibe. The lyricism used by him proves his ruthlessness and the flow on the beat is on point. The hook is catchy and makes you repeat it as it comes on.
“Fame se matlab mujhe na bas izzat se leta sabki maar
Mere bars sabhi lage rattne
Jagah mohammadpur ye basti azad
Jaha paida hua mai hu khada abhi tak us ghar ki chatt pe” – Sun-J
We reached out to Sun-J for his take on this project and this is what he had to say.
“I made this track to represent my area and also for those people who claim they are real and from the slums but they aren’t” – Sun-J
Sun-J is also working on an Ep which is going to come out really soon.
The video is shot by Sun-J’s crew mate Bboy Ashu and is edited by Sun-J himself and a part of lyric goes as “kar sakta sab kuch mai Khuda (God) ki di hui wisdom se ” which translates to a verse in the Holy Bible. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me”Philippians 4:13
