Rapper Fazilpuria on Promoting Talent in Haryana Through his Record Label

Singer and rapper Rahul Yadav aka Fazilpuria, a well known rapper and known for hits such as Chull featuring fellow rapper Badshah, released in 2014, now talks about wanting to promote talent from Haryana through his record label.


Fazilpuria became an overnight success with his song Chull, so much so that it was later on used in the Bollywood movie Kapoor & Sons. The artist now plans to use his stardom to help scout talent in Haryana and promote it through his label. His connection to his hometown is strong considering he was born in a village called Fazilpur in Gurgaon and later on used the village name for his artist name as well.

With his record label Fazilpuria records, the artist plans to give platform to those artistes who don’t have access to the music industry. The project to find good artistes from Haryana is at the beginning stages but the rapper whose latest song Jimmy Choo which was a rage on youtube with over 5 million hits launched his friend and fellow artist Priyanka Goyat who is from Haryana as well. It’s a folk song that was made into a video on a budget of 57 lakhs.

Fazilpuria‘s main income comes from shows, the rapper performs globally and has taken a break from performing recently to promote his new song. He will soon be touring US, Canada and Australia.

Fazilpuria’s goals are straight; he wants to stay in the limelight and is planning to act in a Haryanvi gangster movie which is already in the works. With all the stardom, his way of giving back to the industry is by helping and supporting upcoming talent.
