DHH: What are you currently doing?
ANKIT: I have just graduated B.Com. and right now preparing for MPSC exam of Maharashtra government.
DHH: When did you start rapping? How old were you?
ANKIT: I started rapping two years ago when I was around 19 years old.
DHH: What attracted you to rapping?
ANKIT: To be honest I heard a rap song by Eminem and I was kinda amazed by the way he was rapping, I had come across of such thing for the first time and was like wtf is this. I’d like to do this kinda stuff too. So I started rapping.
DHH: What is your inspiration behind the lyrics that you write?
ANKIT: My inspirations are the things that I encounter day to day.
DHH: Where did you learn to rap from?
ANKIT: I learnt by myself only and have been studying a few major rappers.
DHH: What are your songs generally about?
ANKIT: Generally they are about my life, about my point of views, experiences etc.
DHH: What is the best part about being a rapper?
ANKIT: To be able to express yourself in a very unique way.
DHH: What is the most challenging part?
DHH: What are you working on right now?
ANKIT: My upcoming mixtape called “Marathi Mulga“.
DHH: Do you plan on pursuing this full-time in the future? If no then why and what is your career choice?
ANKIT: Yes, I am finding the resources.
DHH: What has your family’s reaction been to this talent of yours?
ANKIT: Reaction has been awesome. They support me totally.
DHH: What does rapping mean to you?
ANKIT: The expression. I can express myself with rhythms and rhymes.
DHH: Which artists, International or Indian, are your inspirations?
ANKIT: Rakim, Big L, Eminem, Hopsin these International artist & Ace, Raftaar, Badshah, N-Eazy, Divine these Indian artists are my inspirations.
DHH: What was the feeling like when you make someone listen to your rap for the very first time or when you performed your rap on stage for the very first time?
ANKIT: That state was insane. I was on a roller coaster ride of emotions.
DHH: What’s the key to being a successful rapper?
ANKIT: According to me its realness, be real don’t fake it.
DHH: If you had to describe yourself to someone who doesn’t know you at all, what would you say? (What are your interests other than rapping, are you an introvert/extrovert, what is the one thing that you are well-known among your friends for other than rapping? Are you always bubbly and cheerful or do you often keep to yourself etc)
ANKIT: To be frank, I am an extroverted introvert. Friendly, happy go lucky, other than rapping known for politeness, humbleness and a person who wins hearts.
