Rapper and Music Composer ‘Raool’  dropped his first single ‘Desi Girls Do It Better’, with the music label T-Series recently, un past, he has also contributed by rapping in Bollywood movie ‘Housefull 3‘ and wrote the song ‘Jaeger Bomb’ for ‘Tum Bin 2‘. According to some sources, the track was written by the artist three years back but was not released because he was not able to decide between record labels as many shown interest in the song, this was  until T-series showned a keen interest when he shared the song with them and they snapped it up.

In an interview, Raaol revealed that this single got stuck for some time as there was an issue with the record label. There was a line in the song which says “Mandir ki Radha ko pooje tu kya, ghar mein gali mei jo rehti hai Radha, aaya hai waqt usse pujne ka”. The label wanted to remove the line but he wanted to keep it.

‘Desi Girls Do It Better’ may sound like another hot hip-hop number, but it is dedicated to all Indian women. It depicts the sufferings and celebrates the achievement of the women. He adds that several real Indian stories inspired him to do a song like this. He specially mentions PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and all the other women who brought medals for India and made the country proud. The track has some verses which explain the real story of Indian women.  In addition to this, the song feature Jaz Dhami, who added magic to the song by lending his voice. Raool has plans to drop some more songs soon as he some ready in his kitty waiting to be released and many record labels are also interested in his music. We can expect a lot more from the artist this year.

It seems very unfortunate that a song which was written three years ago is still making relevance in 2017. The recent Bengaluru New Year’s Eve Incident is an example for that. People should take some inspiration from these artists and should respect women as they are an integral part of our society.
