Raftaar Explains Why Female Wrestlers Are ‘Dhaakad’

The new song ‘Dhaakad’ for the highly anticipated Amir Khan movie,’Dangal’ is finally out. Pritam is the genius behind the track and has got Raftaar on board for his vocals.

Raftaar usually known for his turbulent flows did something really different from his forte. He has a rather groovy flow and it sways somewhere between reciting, rapping and singing. The video is a trailer of sorts and has captured Geeta & Babita Phogat’s wrestling and how they decimate their opponents, it also has several glimpses of Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat. The song features Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra playing his daughters. Dangal will be in the cinemas on the 23rd December.

The track is breath of fresh air compared to what we get to listen to in the name of music in a Bollywood movie. The track has several melodies, rhythms which seems to be influenced by the Northern part of the country, primarily Haryana. It has the perfect mainstream appeal and you can expect to do several rounds on the radio and TV. The song will soon enough even be a great example of women empowerment and like always it should not come as a surprise that Amir Khan is yet again affiliated with a noble cause.
