Mos Def is a Brooklyn legend and one of the best lyricist in the genre of Hip-Hop. Mos Def’s work is melodious and his flow is extraordinary and unique. The street poet has been in the Hip-Hop game for more than two decades. He is known for his work with the Brooklyn native Talib Kweli as the duo Black Star.
With him being a mentor to a lot of rappers and producers, Mos Def is also known for his peculiar tastes in the production he uses and makes. His fourth solo studio album which was released in 2009, ‘The Ecstatic” is in the history books as an east-coast classic. The track “Auditorium” featured Slick Rick is one of Mos Def’s evergreen work. “Auditorium” is produced by Madlib and Mos Def himself. They sampled the “The Nightingale of Bollywood“, Lata Mangeshkar.
