‘Mundian Toh Bach Key‘, yes that is the full form of MTBK just in case you were still wondering what does ‘MTBK‘ stand for. Bohemia and Lazarus along with Deep Jandu and Shaxe Oriah have shaken up the scene and in the process set the benchmark for 2017 really high.
As expected I saw fireworks when the best in Punjabi came on a track with the beast in English. Deep Jandu is on the hook along with some vocals from Shaxe Oriah himself, he has also produced the track and it sounds as crisp as a cracker. This is also an homage to the late Sir Labh Janjua and the video features a special hand painted tribute to Sir Labh Janjua painted by Delhi-based artist Gaurav Lekhi.
From the word go Lazarus jumps into the first verse and claims that he is the Punjabi Bruce Banner and just one listen to his verse will tell you why. Laz drops several Bollywood references and gives a shout out to Detroit, Lahore and Delhi. Bohemia comes in on the 2nd verse but when it comes to Punjabi rap he is second to none. Just one listen to his verse and you can figure out why he has such a diverse fanbase. My favourite part of the track is when Bohemia and Lazarus share rhymes and go to and fro, Bohemia and Lazarus are standing back to back and Lazarus picks up where Bohemia finishes his bar and Bohemia is doing the same for Lazarus. It was mesmerising to witness the English and Punjabi to and fro.
The track comes along with a pretty dope video which shows the KDM members being themselves. The video is as flamboyant as the audio itself and should be checked out without further delay.
