It was a while ago when Eminem released his song “Not Afraid” from his studio album “Recovery”. This record was so popular that it became an instant hit among the hip-hop communities and fans. The album was a special one as Eminem had dropped an album after a break of almost five years due to his drug addiction problems. “Not Afraid” was a huge hit because it instantly connected with the fans.
“Not Afraid” broke all the past records and went on to become #1 single on the Billboard and made Eminem the highest charting rapper of this decade.

To this day, no other artist or song has that power to break Eminem’s record. But now, it seems that Kendrick Lamar‘s hot new track “HUMBLE” from his fourth studio album is a good competition. “HUMBLE” is the highest charting single off Kendrick’s career as a lead artist. The song stands at #2 on Billboard Hot 100. “HUMBLE” has racked up 49 million YouTube views and 39 million Spotify streams in just 10 days since it’s release.
“HUMBLE” has become the highest-debuting rap song on the Billboard Hot 100 since Eminem’s “Not Afraid” debuted at No.1 in 2010. “Not Afraid” sold more that 380,000 digital copies in the first week and 570 million streams.
It seems that nobody can reach Eminem’s level as of now but Kendrick is giving a good fight and has all the potential of becoming a legendary rapper. We have to wait and watch how his new single performs as it has been only 10 days since it’s release. We at DHH, wish Kendrick Lamar a huge success with this track and may all of his upcoming projects leaves him a legacy.
