Mumbai based rapper Vivian Fernandes who go by his alias Divine is already a well know name in the desi hip hop scene. He is currently signed under Sony Music India and has worked with several artists like Naezy, Sikander Kahlon and Nucleya to name a few. Known for his singles like ‘Yeh Mera Bombay’, ‘Mere Gully Mein’, ‘Jungli Sher’ and ‘Mitran Da Swag’, he has also performed at ‘BBC’s Asian Network Live 2016′ in London, United Kingdom.
Recently, Divine shared a post on his social media profile which confirms his collaboration with Anirudh Ravichander who is famous for composing ‘Why This Kolaveri Di?’ which featured ‘Dhanush‘. This single was recorded by him for a Tamil movie, ‘Rum’. ‘Pori Paththi’ is the track that they came together for and is coming out on November 2, 2016. Divine wrote the lyrics in Hindi to target a vast audience & is based on the importance of money in today’s world.
Divine states, “He (Anirudh Ravichander) is a very talented producer. His style is fresh & it was great working with him. When I first heard the track, I started flowing my verse instantly and sent him my part. This is a huge opportunity for me as with this song my voice will reach to audiences in the South of India too.”
