Desi Hip-Hop, as a genre, is growing prodigiously. A lot of artists release their music every week for their audience and for the culture predominantly. We, at, try to pick the releases that circles everywhere on the social media throughout the week. However, these hand-picked releases are not placed in any numerological order because it’s not based on statistics.

Both RD Prince and King Saifi are members of VIP Munday, a Delhi-based hip-hop duo. Deep Harks, on the other hand, is known for dropping hard verses and some serious RnB vocals. Eventually, they came together to drop ‘Stand’ which came out recently. ‘Stand’, as a matter of fact, is a chill-hop track with some laid-back and relaxing vibes. However, lyrics on this track suggests otherwise as they spared no mercy. The instrumental they picked was produced by Charaf. The video, on the other hand, was done by Inderpal Singh. They claim that the video was done in three hours which is pretty impressive.

Manan Gaur aka GhAatak, jotted the lyrics for ‘Lanka’ and also did the post production for this track. He spat his verse on a beat produced by Retnik Beats. On the other hand, Ripul Sawarbal did the direction and editing for the video of ‘Lanka’. Haseeb Rahmaan designed the artwork for the track while David Sagar and Gaurav from NWC were DOPs for the track. In addition, this track basically revolves around his personality and the way he lives his life. From this track, GhaAtak made a clear statement that he can never work under someone. Basically, he doesn’t need any labels or something to prove his art.

Shubham Shinde is a new name in the game. He is a Mumbai-based rapper who sounds promising and holds a great control over his lyricism. However, being new in the game is not a problem for a skilled artist. Shubham recently released the music video of his track ‘Karma’ and brought the underground in. Yes, the video features cameos by M.ZHE & the Gawky RecordsShaikhspeare, Rahul Beniwal, Mc Hasnain and several others. In addition to the track, the video itself is dope and is shot by Ankit Redkar.

When we talk about Ikka Singh, we expect good music, good lyrics, and sensible verse. This is what he has delivered in Ryan‘s ‘Last Seen. Enzo handled the music while B Sanj did the post production of the track. On the other hand, Amaninder Singh and Varinderpal Bains from Unit 11 Films shot the video for the track. In addition to the sound, the track is all about the love and hate relationship we had with our partners after few fights and how they ignore you on social networking sites. Ikka explains all those things which happened during that period of time in his verse.

Raftaar is literally making his fans wait for some serious hip-hop music. But to balance everything, he is dropping back to back commercial/mainstream music. ‘Dekho Dekho Chaamp’ is Raftaar’s debut in Bengali movie industry as a music producer. Raftaar has himself written, composed, produced and performed this track with Dev Adhikari. The track is filmed on Dev and Rukmini Maitra and holds energy in the sound.
