hot 5 of the week

Black Eye Galaxy member dropped “Plottin” with Brown Boys head, ByG Byrd. The track itself is an amazing blend of a vox-driven melody and banging trap drums. Byg Byrd is known for producing hard trap beats for desi rappers and on the other hand, Guru Lahori is reputed for murdering them. As a matter of fact, whatever Byg Byrd touches becomes gold and this mix is a perfect example for the same.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Now the boy about to blow,
I’ve been putting in the work, I’ve been plottin’ on the low”

“Thoddi Waala Till” is a presentation of T-Series, the label Bohemia is signed with. The track is composed by Mix Singh, written by Maan Singh, Tegh and Bohemia. Simranjeet picked up the perfect track as his vocals are complimenting the composition brilliantly. Bohemia in a Wu-Tang sweat-shirt with facial hair compliments the visuals of “Thoddi Waala Till”.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Like karaan teri har post, teri photos naal bhari wall,
Saari duniya nu labhda ni, main kadey miss kitti ni teri call,
Wah! soni lagdi kamaal, jaddon hasey khil-khil,
Soniye di zulfaan naal mukhdey te kaala-kaala till”

The most recent drop, ‘Don’t Hold Back 2.0‘, is special as it gives four new rappers a chance to be featured with Ranveer. A contest scenario was held by Jack & Jones previously and among all the vast entries, these four rappers were chosen by Ranveer himself. Devil The Rhymer, Slow Cheeta, Spitfire & Kaaam Bhaari slay the instrumental with style and the lyricism used is commendable.

However, the flow used by Ranveer resembles that of his friend Naezy in his introductory verse. On the other hand, the hook of this project done by Ranveer himself complements the entire track really well.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Jab khauf mite, awaaz uthe,
We don’t hold back,
Inquilaabi aghaaz karein,
We don’t hold back,
Jab khauf mite, awaaz uthe,
We don’t hold back,
Inquilaabi aghaaz karein,
We don’t hold back.”

“Black Sheep” resembles the odd one in the herd. The track resembles the tug of war that a mind deals with and is basically talks over the demons that we carry. “Black Sheep” holds the intense frustration and mood of rage and a war against self throughout with a fiction concept. According to him, dissing and abusing the listeners has turned out to be a trend these days. Candid Nib thinks that these topics get more attention rather than a piece of art that carries the knowledge or some real shit.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“I’m a stranger to myself,
How am I supposed to save ya”

‘Mharo Jodhpur’ came out last week and is completely Rajasthani track. Pankaj Nimbark and Young H brought Jagirdar RV & Sumsa Supari on this track to change the dimensions of the audio. Video, on the other hand, is one of a kind. Beautiful locations surely grabs the attention as Dhruv Sankhala has shot some amazing shots with the use Drones. Young H himself produced the track and his post-production is simply breathtaking.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Shehar mharo Jodhpur,
Aa nagri hai kismat waalo ri”
