Ikka spoke about the struggle of his initial days in the game. He openly spoke of the negative things that he had to bear in his journey. Regardless of all of this negativity around him, Ikka claimed his success while taking each and every part of the due credits. “Shuruwat” was produced by DJ Harpz and is a T-Series presentation. Muhfaad is easily visible in the video of “Shuruwat” as well.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Main issey kam, main ussey zyada nahi,
Main hun poora khel, main khel ka pyaada nahi,
Hona gareeb paida kismat,
Marun bhi gareeb to mili zindagi ka fayda nahi”

Abdullah Malik, who is widely known as Rap Demon, has released his latest track “Gujra Way” on “Gujra Way”, on the other hand, is a perfect track for hip-hop heads who love to bounce on a track. Farasat Anees has produced this very instrumental for Rap Demon. No doubt, Rahul Beniwal‘s visuals are a cherry on the icing. “Gujra Way” is not actually a club banger but has elements that make it perfect for the same. Rap Demon used some serious explicit vocabulary in a way that it doesn’t sound odd.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Sohni ton puchhan teri choli de picche ki ae?
Lakk tera bareek utton nazar hattey ni ae,
Hatth main dhokey nakk de koke te maaran odey,
Bohtaan tu dheet aakhey dumm tu kuttey di ae”

“Taking My Time” is Dee MC‘s first solo after a span of 2 years. Hip-hop is often symbolised by masculine mascots or at least, that is how most of the folks perceive it, Dee MC is fearless in speaking her mind. Dee MC also takes subtle shots at phones fabricating their lives and posting as someone else. On the other hand, KRU 172 killed it on the production. The beat is simple but groovy. Regardless of its simplicity, it blends fairly well with the vocals on the hook. The video for “Taking My Time” is shot and edited by Hut Nation. Visuals also feature Poetik Justis, D’Evil and MC Heam.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Shake my ass for fame? Not my type of jig,
Give up punches from I’m that type of chick”

For those who don’t know, Gari-B is a character like none other. He represents the streets and is the hungriest rapper out there, literally! “Gari-B Ki Kahani” is a take on the direction our hip hop scene is headed in. Being from the Gully or Slums has become mainstream thanks to our media who loves glorifying the poverty of our country. The video of “Gari-B Ki Kahani” slays the hypocrisy but with comedy, so if you get offended easily, get a sense of humour. “Gari-B Ki Kahani” has clever witty rhymes and a one of a kind parody video. Its music video is minimalist work with a maximum quality output. Gari-B strolls around Mumbai city taking shots at everything from slums to PDA.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Paani puri ka hai khwab, pura pani bhi naseeb nahi,
Khana bhi lazeez nahi, producer maange paisa,
Yahan rapperon ko beat nahi, Charsiyon ko weed nahi,
Censorboard ki maa ki aankh, yahan gaaliyon ko beep nahi”

Adro is a part of the rap crew Mumbai’s Finest and has been in the scene since way back. The rapper has taken his time to add production to his skill sets. One Side has a banger production suiting his style of rhymes. Packed with punchlines and a dope flow, “One Side” comes with a good video. In addition, Adro has produced, written, performed and engineered “One Side” on his own. Finally, he is coming back in his signature form and that’s what we were expecting.

Significant lyrics from the track:

“Tere to sab gaane bas bante hain wack,
Pehnata topi tujhe bolke main cap”
