Deep Basswala is a Hip-Hop artist from Brampton, Canada. His latest release ‘Boss‘ is doing rounds on the internet for its desi flavor. Deep himself produced the instrumental that starts with a Mandolin sample which might sound like a Tumbi sound to you but trust me it’s not. The sound seems like it has been used in a Bollywood song before but they are different. Deep confirmed it by saying “I was never aware of a similar melody used for Bollywood until recently when Snow Tiger Entertainment and I began to share the promo of this track. I don’t keep super up to date with Bollywood music, so any similarities were unintentional. I’m not sure which song used the similar riff”.
This track was written and performed by Deep Basswala as well. It was mixed by Norie Kingsbury and was later mastered by Tigerstyle. Rup from Snow Tiger Entertainment is the executive producer of ‘Boss’. If you’re a person who is into melody driven hip-hop music, then it’s definitely your cup of cake. English and Punjabi lyrics fits perfectly on this beat. Deep has proved that Brampton artists are nowhere near stopping and we’re proud that our desi’s living in the foreign land are still working hard to push this genre of music forward.
