Chance The Rapper Donates $1 Million To Chicago Schools

The recent Grammy Award winner for ‘Best New Artist’ decides to donate One Million Dollars to the public school system of his hometown Chicago. Being an independent artist, Chance The Rapper has achieved a lot for his community along with being a positive role model. This announcement came after he met with the Governor of Illinois.

This is the true spirit of Hip-Hop. This is Hip-Hop for a change. The rapper said that his contribution was made possible because of fans purchasing his tour tickets. Chance The Rapper did this move revolting against the Governor who wanted to do things differently.

“Take care of [Chicago] kids. With the stroke of the pen, the governor has the power to change that,” he said. “This isn’t about politics. This isn’t about posturing. Everybody and they momma knows about what’s going on in Chicago,” – Chance The Rapper
