The Hip Hop flavored comedy film revolves around 16 hours of an unemployed man “Ice Cube” and his friend Tucker’s day, where they need to clear his drug debt in the same night. 6.Hustle and Flow:

Life of a pimp and drug dealer who faces aspiration to become a rapstar as a Memphis hustler. Directed by Craig Brewer, Hustle and Flow stars Terrence Howard, Anthony Anderson, Taryn Manning, Taraji P Henson and DJ Qualis. This movie won Academy Award for Best Original Song “It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp” composed by Three 6 Mafia.


Juice is a crime/thriller themed movie with a strong star cast as Tupac Shakur, Queen Latifah, Jermaine, Khalil Kain and Samuel Jackson. The film depicts the life of young teenagers in Harlem who spend days under influence of gangs, police harassment and drugs.


A comedy film starring Chris Rock, directed by Tamra Davis. The movie showcases a fictional rap crew “CB4” named after the group formed in the prison block CB4. In actual words, the movie is a parody to rap group NWA and includes segments highlighting Halle Berry, Eazy-E, Ice Cube and Flavor Flav.


American biographical movie, Notorious, is based on the life and murder of Christopher Wallace, known as rapper Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious B.I.G. The cast includes Jamal Woolard, Angela Bassett, Derek Luke and Anthony Mackie.

A sports film with a touch of inspiration and Hip Hop flavor. The film is about a high school basketball player and his relation with a close drug dealer friend.
